UltraPoE POE-EX2005-4H Gigabit 4-Port PoE Extender Splitter
SKU: POE-EX2005-4HConnect up to four PoE devices through one incoming Gigabit PoE cable. The UltraPoE POE-EX2005-4H is a 1-in, 4-out Gigabit PoE extender for compatible IP cameras, wireless access points and VoIP endpoints. It receives power through the upstream PoE connection, so no local AC outlet is required at the extender.
Extend and share one PoE cable run
- 1 PoE input, 4 PoE outputs: branch a single upstream connection to devices near the extender. Depending on the layout, this can reduce the number of separate cable runs back to the PoE source.
- Gigabit data: all five Ethernet ports support 10/100/1000 Mbps.
- Up to 328 ft (100 m) per cable segment: extend network reach while accounting for the PoE source, cable quality and device power requirements.

Check the power budget before installation
The manufacturer specifies a 60 W BT PoE input, up to 30 W per output port, and up to 60 W total shared across the four outputs. Actual combined output is limited by the power arriving at the extender, its own consumption (typically 1.5 W), and cable losses. Keep the connected devices' combined maximum load within the power available at their installation distances.
- Confirm the PoE switch or injector is compatible with the extender and can supply the planned load. An IEEE 802.3af/at source provides a lower power budget than a compatible 60 W BT source.
- Add the maximum power requirements of all connected devices, including startup and any camera IR illuminators or heaters.
- Check cable length and quality for each segment. Cascading extenders requires a separate power and distance check for the complete installation.
